Definitions

ICA Learnsite

ICA's Learnsite is a virtual learning space that houses all learning materials. This includes modules, schedules, resources and assessments. Access is extended based on the program of enrollment. All students, regardless of program enrollment, will have access to the Learnsite.

CoachCampus

CoachCampus is a virtual networking space where thousands of aspiring, certified and credentialed ICA coaches come together to learn, grow, and support each other.   It is also a space where ICA graduates will be profiled, promoted and publicly endorsed by ICA.

Program

Each program has a set number of hours and program requirements. These must be completed to be eligible for graduation. Once completed, students exit the program.

Alumni
The Alumni is an association available to all ICA Coaches, post-graduation.  Members must hold an ICA Level 1 or 2 Certification. Participation is governed by the ICF ethical practice guidelines and ICA's code of conduct.

Timed Membership

Timed membership to a program or ICA space means there is a set period of access, with a beginning and end date.

Programs have timed memberships and include an assigned number of learning hour and a maximum completion time. Students can take the full time to complete their program hours, or fast track and finish sooner.

Ongoing Membership

Ongoing membership at ICA refers to ongoing access to a program or an online space area for the life of the product or online space.

Lifetime Membership
Lifetime membership refers to an ongoing association, without an end date.

Program Participation and Completion

Participation

Whilst it is intended that classes and labs are taken only once (as per the program allocation) there is some flexibility.

  • Core Classes, Competency Labs, Coach Development Labs
If you need to repeat a class or lab you can, but it must be within your access period and prior to the commencement of your performance evaluation.
  • Mentor Coaching Labs
Students can attend only the number of mentoring sessions included in their program. These must be attended prior to beginning your performance evaluation.
  • Observed Coaching
Students can attend only the number of mentoring sessions included in their program.  These must be attended prior to beginning your oral exam and must be done before your oral exam.

Full Program Completion

All Level 1 and 2 program requirements must be completed to be eligible for graduation.  This includes all classes, labs, portfolio work, peer coaching and 'competent' or 'highly competent' performance evaluation grading.

Partial Program Completion

If a student finds they need to exit the program early (before completing all course work) they can be certified for their completed hours.  This is dependent on the following.

  • ICA is notified within 14 days of them exiting the program
  • their fees are paid in full
  • they submit a graduation checklist, showing all classes and hours completed, and inn a format that is editable by ICA (excel, word etc).

If the student has completed at least 60 hours plus 10 hours mentor coaching (3 hrs one on one and 7 hrs group) they will be certified for 70 hours ACSTH.  Any hours under this will be certified by ICA as approved coach specific training.

If a student is unable to complete their program because they have breached the ICA Code of Conduct or participation policies, then their individual participation and completion will be reviewed by the Training Director.  The issue of certification, if any, will be at the discretion of the ICA Training Director and dependant on the following.

  • they submit a graduation checklist, showing all classes and hours completed, and in a format that is editable by ICA (excel, word etc).
