Purpose and Context:

We It's not uncommon for life to take a different direction to the one planned, resulting in students needing to stop their studies unexpectedly (without notifying ICA in advance), or needing longer than the allocated access time to complete their studies. As such, there is the option to extend program access on a month-by-month basis. 

Scope: 

This policy applies to ICA students.

Option 1: Extend Your Program Access and Graduate

Students wanting to apply for extended program access must apply and must meet the following requirements:

  • Provide records of their program attendance (e.g. Graduation Checklist)
  • Be in good financial standing with ICA (fees paid in full)
  • Demonstrate, or have demonstrated, a commitment to participating and completing their studies (as determined by ICA)


Your program access ended within the previous 12 months

Students whose program expired within the previous 12 months can re-enter and extend their program access for a monthly fee of $150 AUD. If their program is no longer an active program, they will be transitioned to the program closest in accreditation and certification standing. The monthly fee option is available for a maximum of 12 months.

As soon as the student graduates the monthly payments will cease. Their program completion will be certified and they will be invited to join the ICA Alumni as an ICA graduate.

If the student has not completed within 12 months, their program access and payments will cease. The student has a choice to again apply for an extension as per the above criteria or will exit the program with certification for the hours completed.

If their program is no longer an active program, they will be transitioned to the program closest in accreditation and certification standing. The monthly fee option is available for a maximum of 12 months.

As soon as the student graduates the monthly payments will cease. Their program completion will be certified and they will be invited to join the ICA Alumni as a graduate.

If the student has not completed within 12 months, their program access and payments will cease. The student has a choice to again apply for an extension as per the above criteria or will exit the program with certification for the hours completed.

If you are still actively enrolled in a program, but sense you need to take a break or might run out of time, please contact our support team by lodging a ticket.

Option 2: Graduate with Partial Certification 

With this option you can exit your program and receive partial certification.  Should you decide to return in the future to complete your studies, we will review your prior completion and apply learning credits to the program most similar in level and completion hours at that time.  A fee will apply to rejoin and reinstate monthly access.

Option 3: Cancelling Your Monthly Membership

If you would like to cancel your monthly membership because you have completed your studies, or decided to exit with partial certification, let us know asap and we will cancel your monthly billing. Please allow 14 days for this to process.
